One Lovely Blog Award x2!

Lightning Character Art from Final Fantasy 13  Hello all! I received the One Lovely Blog Award a long while back, but because of all the stuff with work I wasn’t able to post on it at the time, so I wanted to share it with you guys now. 🙂

First and foremost, I’d like to thank two awesome people for nominating me for the One Lovely Blog Award! Just for fun I decided to post both pictures since they’re different, and both sets of rules as well. 🙂

One Lovely Blog Award  I received this one from The-Marnray. He has an awesome blog where he writes about all kinds of cool things, like movies, video games, music, and his writing. Definitely check him out! 🙂

The rules are:

~ Thank the person who nominated you and link back to them in your post.

~ Share 7 things about yourself. (Keep in mind that children may read this)

~ Nominate 15 bloggers you absolutely relish.

~ Leave a comment on each of these blogs letting them know they’ve been nominated.

And I received this one from Joleene Naylor. She has a fantastic blog dedicated to her Amaranthine vampires. The world of Amaranthine is dark and bloody and completely awesome. If you love vampires, definitely check her out too!

The rules are:

~ Include the blog award logo in your post

~ Thank the person who nominated you

~ Provide 7 random facts about yourself

~ Nominate 7 other blogs, and let them know you have done so

~~

Here are 7 completely random facts about myself:

Purple forest Image  1) My favorite color is purple, and I prefer darker colors in general. I also love black. 🙂

Yellow Feild Desktop Wallpaper  2) For some unexplainable reason, I loathe the color yellow. Don’t ask me why. I know it makes no sense to dislike such a cheerful color, but I do.

  3) I love The Princess Bride so much that I quote it. All the time. “Hello… My name is Inigo Montoya… You killed my father… Prepare to die…” <– I have this as a ringtone. And this as a notification tone. –> “Anyone wanna peanut?”

  4) I can be moved to tears when watching a movie, and it doesn’t even have to be a sad movie, lol. I totally try to play it off and hide it though. 🙂

THE RITE | © 2011 Warner Home Video  5) I watch scary movies through my fingers, like a kid. Like that’ll save me, lol. 🙂 I’m also very superstitious, so movies about possession and ghosts get me the most.

Labyrinth Movie Poster  6) I can sing *every* song in Labyrinth by heart, and I have the soundtrack. I can also quote this movie. 🙂

  7) I still think that Ladyhawke is right up there as one of the best love stories of all time. Just sayin’. 🙂 And yes, I totally cry at the end.

~ Philippe: “Are you flesh? Or are you spirit?”

Isabeau: “I am sorrow.”

~ Imperius: “…never touching in the flesh. Only the anguish of a split second at sunrise and sunset… when they can almost touch… but not. Always together… Eternally apart…”

And that’s about the point where I start sniffling, and trying to play it off like my allergies are acting up. 🙂 Seriously, if you haven’t seen this movie, netflix it! It’s a great 80’s movie. 🙂

And, although it’s always hard to choose, here are 7 blogs that I absolutely love!:

1) The Written Word – DarkJade posts awesome blog series, poetry, and music here.

2) The Light-Bearer Series – Emily posts about her Light-Bearer novels here. They’re paranormal romance, and I always look forward to her snippets.

3) The Quill Wielder – Quill posts about her stories and writing tips, and also does book reviews here.

4) The Scarlet Order Vampires – David posts about his awesome Scarlet Order Vampires here.

5) isleofbooks – Shannon posts book reviews and poetry here.

6) yawattahosby – Yawatta posts about her writing, writing tips, and book reviews.

7) thebettermanproject – Evan posts about his journey of becoming a better man, and they’re are always really inspiring to read.

Until next time, Happy Writing!! 🙂

My Favorite Color is Blue, then Black (though those two are close), then purple…

Yellow is the opposite of Purple… Just sayen, Lol

Princess Bride Rules, and I actually met Cary Elwes once… Yes I did, Lol He used to come into my mom’s work, and I went to see her one day, and she was talking to him outside, and introduced me… Cool guy… He actually married a girl that I went to Junior High with, Lol

But my Favorite Meet was Timothy Dalton… That was just awesome, was introduced to him on “Tales of the Crypt” set that I was hanging outside of cuz I heard he was there. And they approached me and said “you’ve been so nice not to interfere with our filming, would you like to meet Timothy Dalton?” fricken awesome

Never seen Penelope, but I do cry a bit watching movies, Lol Shh

“Labrinth” Kicks ass, saw it in the theater… “You Remind me of The Girl”, Lol

Loved Lady Hawke, saw that in a theater too… The only thing I didn’t like back then was the music, Lol… But the stories and Characters were Great. And the music doesn’t bug me anymore, Lol

    Thanks for the Nomination Paige

      You’re welcome, my friend! 🙂

Lol, that’s so funny – I didn’t even think of yellow being the opposite of purple! 🙂

And, oh my gosh, jealous party of one! How awesome is that? Man, I want to meet Cary Elwes!!

And Timothy Dalton?! So, so jealous!

I did get to see (but not meet sadly) Patrick Stewart, John de Lancie, and Val Kilmer at the Wizarding World Comic Con in Ohio a few weeks ago. Lol, I don’t know what I would’ve said if I could’ve talked to them though. I’d like to say I’d be stunningly well-spoken, and normal, and convincingly un-creepy – but I think I would’ve been so star struck that I would’ve just stared at them and babbled about something random until they discreetly called security to take the crazy person away. 🙂

Penelope is a really sweet movie. I guess I’d describe it as a kind of romantic fantasy comedy? It has this underlying theme of accepting yourself for who you are. Really cool, and kind of inspiring to me. Check it out if you feel like a cute, uplifting kind of movie.

      Here’s the trailer:

Lol, and don’t worry – your secret’s safe with me! 🙂

~ “What babe?” ~ “The babe with the power!” ~ “What power?” ~

Lol, yeah, the music in Ladyhawke is very, *very* 80’s. But it grew on me after a while. 🙂 I have that soundtrack too.

Ah wow, that looks cool… I Love that Actor

Love all of those Actors you saw, in fact, I’ve always thought Timothy Dalton and Patrick Stewart basically have the same Voice, Lol

But Love Patrick Stewart, he is just Awesome… And Val Kilmer Kicks A$$… John de Lancie, that’s ‘Q’ from Star Trek, right? My sister actually met him when she worked at ‘Banana Republic’… He’s Awesome in Star Trek

I don’t think I could talk much to Patrick Stewart or Val Kilmer either… They’re too good

Yeah, I think James McAvoy is awesome too. He’s a great actor, and I usually end up loving him in whatever he’s in, even if I don’t end up loving the movie. 🙂

All three of the actors i saw were really interesting to listen to. They each stood up and talked to a room full of fans. They were all really cool, and engaging with the crowd. And yep, John de Lancie played ‘Q.’

Lol, and agreed. They are too good. I think I wouldn’t be able to say anything really intelligable, because I’d be both intimidated and completely star struck. 🙂

  4. I’ve never been keen on yellow, though I am starting to accept it. As a kid I disliked it so much that when my crayons were used up yellow would still be almost new looking.

Princess Bride and Labyrinth are awesome – and so is Ladyhawke! 🙂

  5. yhosby says:

    Hey Paige,
Thanks for the nomination! Ghost stories scare me the most too! Probably because I believe in them. I don’t look through my fingers, but when the haunting music comes in the background as a warning, I hurry and look completely down. Sometimes I even cover my ears–like that really helps LOL.

    Keep smiling,
    Yawatta
