Β Hello all! Today I want to share something a little different with my writing. π
As I’m finding a balance between my new part-time job (4am-8am, lol) and building my business so I won’t need a part-time job, it’s been harder to carve out the time I need to write. Lol, I’ve been trying to nap before and after work, so I have the majority of the day to take care of the business and writing.
And it ends up kinda like this:
I’m excited to haveΒ something for you guys this week – although it’s a little different from my usual chapters. I’ve been talking about adding different kinds of stories for you all – some fanfiction and a short horror story are at the top of my list right now – and I’m thinking as I close in on the end of Ascension, and get ready to start focusing on self-publishing, now’s the perfect time to start. π
So, at a friend’s request, I wrote something different for this week – lol, actually not romance. It’s much shorter, and more serious, but I enjoyed writing it. I hope you guys like it! π Lol, then I’m going to chain myself to my laptop and get out the rest of the next chapter of Ascension! And hopefully another movie review.
Until next time, Take Care and Happy Writing! π

Nothing wrong with different; it keeps the brain juicy, LOL!
Lol, agreed! π And it helps me take a step back from whatever I’ve been working on too, so I can come back to it with fresh eyes.
I agree. It’s always good to try something new. You never know where it might lead. I’m writing a novel (fiction based loosely on a true story) and it’s not funny at all. I’m really enjoying the process of letting my characters tell me where to go next (within reason!). π
That’s awesome Lorna – good luck! π It’s always fun, and really interesting, when the characters start pointing the way. I’m looking forward to reading it. π
So am I! I know it’s going to need some heavy-duty editing, but I’m resisting the urge until I get the first draft finished! π
