A Cover For Me!

Samurai Chick - momohime, red, traditional, ribbon, peats, black, dress, oboro, flowers, wii, roses, cool, kimono, sword, katana, cute, pink, muramasa  Hello all! Today I want to share with you something I’m really, *really* excited about! 😀

My first book cover!! XD

The amazing and talented Clarissa Yeo designed it for me. You can check her out on her website – Yocla Designs – and on her Facebook. If you’re looking for someone to work on your cover, I highly recommend her! She really pays attention to the details of what you’re looking for, her prices are competitive, and she touches base with you throughout the whole process to get feedback. Here’s a look at some other covers she’s done – Clarissa Yeo’s Portfolio.

And here’s the cover she made for me, using the concept of the anso that Shima couples wear:

My first book looks all official-like and professional now, thanks to Clarissa’s hard work, and I’m so totally stoked!! I’ve pretty much been torturing everyone around me, like “Look! Isn’t it awesome?! Hey! Heeeeey! LOOOOOKIE!!!! – Nevermind that I’ve shown you about 974 times since I got my hands on the final version! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!!!”

Lol, have any of you ever felt like that? Just crazy excited about your first project coming together, whether it’s self-publishing or traditional publishing?

I’ve still got a little more to do – *FINALLY* wrapping up Ascension is first on the list!! Then tons of editing, and adding the extras for the e-book version. Lol, but not even the prospect of weeks of editing is enough to bring me down! 😀

This is going to be a collection of the first three short stories and two standalones from this blog – Beyond the Gate, The Dreamer, Ascension, Kronen: Standalone One – Patriarch, and Bonds – but with several extras. 🙂 Some of these extras include the completed love scenes that I left out for WordPress, a Shima language list, and teaser standalone chapters featuring some familiar characters who are going to have their own full-length novels later on.

Let me know if there are any other extras you’d be interested in, or any particular characters you’d like to read a little more about. 😀

I’m hoping to have everything in order and ready to go by the end of March/beginning of April. Wish me luck!

Until next time, Take Care and Happy Writing! 😀
