Β Hello all! Guess what!
I’ll be at The Dayton Book Expo, this Saturday, April 27’th, from 11am-4pm!
Also, I have a mini-announcement! π
You know what this calls for? That’s right! Celebratory dance off! π
I’m so excited! π
Lol, I’m terrible at marketing, but I’m determined to learn this year, and this is a great opportunity to do just that while I meet other writers and readers! π I have a lot to learn from both!
This’ll be my second event – the first being last year during Indie Author Day – and I’m hoping to do more. Although I’m going the e-book only route for now (announcer voice: available on Amazon Kindle, while supplies last… which is forever… because it’s digital. π ) I’ll have tote bags, bookmarks, and excerpt booklets to hand out at the Expo.
Did I mention my husband is amazing yet? No? Well, I may be slightly biased, but he is – he took my book covers (did you notice I pluralized ‘covers?’ Because I sure as heck did.) and designed my promotional items and business cards based on them! π
“But wait, Paige – you only have one book. Why did you say ‘book covers,’ plural?”
Because, kerblam!!!!:
Book Two in the Dual Realms series is finished and currently being edited by the most amazing editor to ever edit ~ Debra Hartmann of The Pro Book Editor and Indie Author Publishing Services!
Lol, oooo – she’s got her work cut out for her, and I deeply appreciate all of her hard work and attention to detail!
I actually wrote this one waaaay before the first book, back in high school, but it didn’t fit the timeline, the magic wasn’t as fleshed-out, and I may have broken the laws of physics with how bad my grammar was.
We’re talking Thanos levels of bad.
It’s still a work in progress, and rough around the edges, but Debra is fantastic and doesn’t let me get away with any shenanigans, grammatical or otherwise. π β€
I’ll start dropping more info about Book 2 as the editing process continues, leading up to a late June or early July release date.
If you happen to be in the area, drop by and see me this Saturday at The Dayton Book Expo if you get a chance! π
Until next time, Happy Writing and Take Care! π
Ps: Are you still dancing? Because I am!
~~~~~~~~~~
Congratulations on book two and wishing you the best at the Dayton Book Festival!
Thank you, David!! π I’m so excited!
Long time no hear . . . but that’s good if you’ve been writing. Good luck on your event and . . .
Oh, my writing is going real good . . . I’m estimating it’s halfway to China by now. I’m hoping it will make it back here later this year.
Lol, this is has been a crazy year already, and I’ve been neglecting my blogging, but I’m — nope, not going to say I’m back. I jinx myself *every* time! Lol, something else will explode if I say it. I’m going to try to be on the blog more though, especially because I want to work on my extremely poor marketing skills, lol. And another friend wants to teach me Instagram for marketing. We shall see how this all goes. I’m as bad at social media as I am marketing, lol.
I have been writing though! π I’ve got a whole plan in motion for the series, and I’m sooo excited about it! How’s your writing going?
And aaaaaaawwwwww!!!! I love the grandpa dancing with his granddaughters!! β€ That's so cool! Best dance off ever!!! π
